brassware, as well as fresh
produce.
Visitors to this market will
have a delightful experience
shopping for local products
at
reasonable prices. It is also
a great place to experience
the culture as locals do
their
daily shopping there too.
However rumors spread that, state government has plans to demolish Kuala Terengganu's 100-year-old Pasar Payang to make space for a 5-star complex. Pasar Kedai Payang deserves more than that. It should not pay the price for progress and development.
